If you use WordPress for your blog then you are in luck. WordPress has some of the coolest, prettiest, and most functional themes out there. Here is a selection of themes especially designed for women. From flowers to tattoos, coffee to gardening, these themes offer something special to spice up your blog.
A soft pink background is complemented by Asian tattoo designs in pale pastels. The simplicity of this theme lends itself well to photo heavy blogs, but works well with just about anything. It is very easy to read and works well for text heavy blog posts and those that need more color than just photos provide.
Imagine a union of your favorite pair of jeans and a chalkboard. This theme has a dusty black background with chalk scribbles and a variety of colorful decorative ribbons to choose from. Not too girly, but with just a suggestion of punk feel.
One of the most visually intricate and alluring templates, the coffee cup set in the top left hand corner unquestionably makes a statement. If your blog isn’t filled with photos, this is the theme for you. The maroon notebook surrounds all the posts, and the sticky notes function as your menu. Just incredible. It is a little bit busy for some applications, so be aware of that before you start using it. But I still think it is just a perfect look.
Another Asian flavored theme, the dark blue background is complemented with swirls of vibrant tattooing. The writing area is a spiral notebook and works well with text only blog posts. Photos also work well with it, however, because the white space allows them to show up even against the somewhat busy background area. I love the sidebar’s style and the page tabs are great also.
What more do you need than a clipboard and a cup of espresso? Lively drawings on a discolored canvas make up the title area, complete with a petite cup of espresso and corresponding spoon. A clipboard holds drawing paper for the blog section, which allows you to show off your artwork and your writing with ease. I also like the ease with which you can add social networking buttons to the sidebar area.
Vintage and Blues - True to its name, this theme is vintage chic. The old-fashioned motorcycle on the left, the scruffy striped background, and the stack of leather-bound books all give this theme a tough, slightly tom-boy appearance.
Outdoorsy – A gardener’s theme, the flowers in the title area give a bright pop to the green grass and dark dirt of the rest of the blog. This is the perfect WordPress theme for your flower-related posts and tips.
WordPress is fun and flexible. Where else could you find so many free themes with such a wide variety? There are many more to choose from, so take a look at your blog and see what theme might be a good fit for you!
