2012 saw a series of Movies from true stories to full blown
love stories with stereotype songs shot around tourist destinations. But then Bollywood seemed to be evolving with all the Khans, Kumars and Kapoors putting in their efforts to bring to the audience one of the most entertaining movies. Most of all, the trend of sequels is set to continue in 2013 too along with a good proportion of movies inspired by true stories.
With Imraan Khan and Anushka Sharma in the star cast along with
experienced Pankaj Kapoor and Shabana Azmi, this film is already being picked as one of the most awaited movies of 2013. With trailers, wallpapers and glimpses to one-of-a-kind songs, this movie will surely reveal the acting potential of Irfan Khan and Anushka Sharma.
Saif Ali Khan is all set to explode some more cars, ride some more horses and romance some more actresses on screen with the sequel to Race; named Race 2. It would also star John Abraham and Beauty Queen, Jacqueline Fernandez. This movie will be a full blown action flick giving Saif an opportunity to mesmerise his fans post-marriage.
Akshay is ready to revive his synergy with Anupam Kher. Inspired by a true story on a group of fraudsters posing as the Indian CBI; this movie promises to reveal some hidden pages of crimes committed in the past. Manoj Bajapayee, Jimmy Shergill and Kajal Aggarwal will also be part of this thrilling flick.
The Murder venture will continue in 2013 with Randeep Hooda setting up conspiracies along with Aditi Rao Hydari and Mona Laizza. The first movie of this franchise did decently well and had hit popularity more because of its songs than its storyline. With a new star cast, hopes will be held high for this latest addition expected to release in February.
Ajay Devgn will mix colours of the past with the present as he will be seen in the remake of the eighties hit, Himmatwala which starred Jeetendra and Sridevi dancing to big numbers at the box office. Devgn will have to strive hard to replicate or even better the likes of Jumping Jack along with Tamannaah who will surely have to play catch-up to match Sridevi’s performance in the yesteryear blockbuster.
Another remake that is scheduled
to release in 2013 is Zanjeer. The Amitabh Bachchan starrer made wave in the seventies telling the story of revenge of an honest police officer jailed on false charges. Starring Ram Charan Teja, Priyanka Chopra, Sanjay Dutt and Mahi Gill, this remake will draw the attention of many movie enthusiasts.
Yamla Pagla Deewana 2
The Deols will not be left out this year as they will be seen together in the sequel to Yamla Pagla Deewana. Starring Dharmendra, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol
alongside Neha Sharma, Kristina Akheeva and Sucheta Khanna, thi movie will bring along a few thrills and laughs of its own.
The Dhoom franchise will also be coming up with its latest addition, Dhoom3. Highlighted by Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif and Jackie Shroff; directed b Aditya Chopra, this movie will surely have some electrifying stunts and its own share of explosive action. But then, it is scheduled to release in December.
Bhaag Milkha Bhaag
Based on the true story of Milkha Singh, an Olympian runner who came very close to winning a medal, this movie will see a transformed Farhan Akhtar, harnessed with eight pack abs and a chiselled physique. Sonam Kapoor will star opposite Farhan. Directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, the teaser of this movie is already creating buzz among the target audience.
One of Bollywood’s very few superheroes, Krish will be seen flying off roofs and thrashing windscreens overcoming evil in his own classy style. Hrithik Roshan will be flanked by Priyanka Chopra, Vivek Oberoi , Kangna Ranaut and Rekha in the third part of this out-of-the-world franchise.
