Paris, Jun 11: Rafael Nadal made history by defeating Novak Djokovic in the rain-hit French Open men’s final here today.The Spaniard, who was leading by two sets to one when rain forced a suspension yesterday, won the fourth set 7-5 to go past Bjorn Borg’s record of six Roland Garros titles.

The World’s No 1 gave it his all and even reeled off six straight games to win the third set 6-2 after Nadal had bagged the first two 6-4, 6-3.

Novak Djokovic won the first two games in the fourth set too, only for Nadal to restore parity.

In 12th game, Djokovic stay in the match but a double fault on championship point proved to be costly.Than finally Nadal proved once again that he is the undisputed king of clay.
