Portugal defeated Czech Republic in the first quarter final, 1-0. Riding high on a Cristiano Ronaldo goal, Portugal beat the Czechs quite convincingly in the end, despite the scoreline.
”We had a lot of chances,” said Ronaldo, who scored his third goal in the last two matches. ”We had a great unity on the pitch and that is why we have reached our goal.”
”The Czechs didn’t have a single chance,” Ronaldo said.
