Recipe Of A Successful Webinar

This is a guest post by Shubham Dubey from  http://www.bitcrony.com/

Over the past decade, Internet has changed the way people used to communicate. It has replaced the postal system almost completely and revolutionized many aspects of communication and presentation. Now you do not have to meet your clients face to face and deliver your long speech, which in most cases adds up to the monotony of a first formal meeting.

Nor you have to call them to some hotel room or office hall to convince them through a presentations. Of-course presentation are interesting and better than talking and speeches but a client may not be comfortable enough to talk about a problem or situation he sees in your plan or product in-front of other audience present there. This said, the idea of giving presentation to each and every client separately is not a good idea either. And this is the main reason we have transformed this whole procedure by putting it completely online.

Online presentations or as the techies call it, Webinars are a solution to the mentioned problems. These webinars are delivered online by the host (presenter) to as many as people he may want. The biggest advantage of the webinar is that that the client or your audience does not even need to put on their formal shirts to attend a seminar or presentation as all the content is delivered online. The discussion regarding content of the webinar is discussed among the audience and host through instant messenger type of communication or VoIP. Enough said about webinar, now lets discuss things that make a webinar, a successful webinar.

Content is the King
The motive behind any presentation or webinar is to deliver certain information or idea to public. We call this information – Content. Everyone hates to read big chunks of text because they are boring. Now if you pick some important points from these paragraphs and put them in a list. Combine them with some interesting videos and pictures, what do you get? You get a compelling, interesting and eye-catching piece of content that people would love to read and watch. Another important factor to keep in mind is that, you should present yourself in an authoritative way and prepare yourself to answer the questions your audience may have. Also, make sure you include latest trends and statistics in your content.

Choosing a Marketing Strategy
To reach out to the maximum number of people and to tap in the maximum number of potential customers, you need to come up with a marketing strategy. You need to maximize your reach by engaging people through different channels. You should use online social media to your benefit.

Creating events on Facebook, putting some pins of the webinar on Pinterest, some tweets and diggs is all you need to give your strategy a kick start. Using CPC programs and email marketing is another tactic that you may employ. If you have a blog, use it to let your readers know about the upcoming webinar. Do not hesitate to make some guest blogs on related blogs regarding the upcoming webinar.

Make your Delivery Powerful
Even if you have good content and a thousand listeners, your webinar will not be successful until you deliver it with confidence and in a way that engages users. Make the seminar interactive. Involve users and ask for their participation. Another important aspect that I would like to cover is the timing. The timing of the slides and playing music and videos where needed should be perfect. Keep the communication clear and on topic. Define a limit for each slide and make sure you finish within the time limit. Always keep some time aside for a small Question-Answer Session. You may ask your audience to post their questions on the Facebook page or tweet using your Twitter handler. This way it would be easy for you to answer every question and eliminate repeating questions.

Post-Webinar
After the webinar has ended, you can still reap its benefits by recording it and posting it on popular video sharing sites. You may then share and tweet the link to your video to your future customers or to those who missed it.

Another tactic is to take some experts and screen shots of the webinar and use it for promoting future events. This way the audience will know that you are actually working hard on these webinars.

All of the above ingredients when mixed in the right quantity make up for a beautiful and delicious recipe we call webinars. If done in a right way, webinars can bring you a good number of customers and orders. Though the idea is very simple and cheap, but it requires a lot of hard-work and practice to make a webinar, a good webinar.
